My Approach to Helping
My name is Amanda Irwin, and I am an independently licensed therapist looking forward to meeting you! My approach is simple...you have a lot going on right now and I do not complicate therapy. My approach is open, supportive, and non-judgmental. I want to help you achieve your goals through therapy and get to a part in your life where you feel whole, healed, and able to maintain your progress beyond therapy. There is a place beyond the struggle, let’s work together to help get you there.
We will work together to build our therapeutic relationship and develop a treatment plan to address your needs. During treatment, I will integrate CBT and DBT to help you learn skills to manage challenges and maintain progress. I may also use EMDR to help you overcome traumatic experiences and negative self-beliefs.
