My Approach to Therapy

Because I believe that people are essentially capable of solving their own problems, it is my pleasure to help them discover the hopeful, preferred, and previously unrecognized and hidden possibilities available to them. Creative approaches to solving problems are encouraged! EMDR available.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I have always appreciated the opportunity to witness people moving forward with new identities and away from problem stories. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to make changes, which is really somehow figuring out how to do the things we prefer, despite the fear attached to it.

Groups I Work With

I am offering teletherapy sessions only at this time. I take a Narrative Therapy approach to solving problems so that together we can understand how to best move forward with solutions to problems. I believe a Harm Reduction approach is helpful, so that we can discover together how to make your life work better right away. I am trauma-informed with basic training and continuing study of EMDR training to better understand what feeds the problem. Creative approaches and worksheets utilize art, poetry, and music to continue the journey of self-discovery. Available: free workbook with 10 sessions for identifying and solving problems utilizing art, poetry and music.
