My Approach to Helping
Amanda Graves, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino, with an emphasis in children, youth and families. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at California State University, San Bernardino.
Amanda has over 20 years of experience working with children and families and has been a licensed therapist for 11 years. She began her career working with children and families in the foster care and dependency court system. She went on to work in Adoptions and found it very rewarding in matching children with families. She has provided individual counseling to children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
Her areas of expertise include: stress, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, familyrelationship issues, adoptions and personal growth. She especially enjoys working with children and adolescents.
Amanda utilizes a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring each individual's biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs. She enjoys aligning with others to assist them in healing from trauma, building self-esteem, improving communication in their relationships and reaching their goals. She also provides Spiritual counseling.
Amanda is an interactive, family-systems therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to evaluate each person within their environment, provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates a variety of techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Amanda is married to her husband of five years and has one adult son and one adult step-daughter.
