As a Christian Counselor, I believe that every person is made in the image of God. As a result, we have inherent worth and an incredible capacity to love. However, this capacity can easily be channeled into unhealthy actions or beliefs that cause pain in our lives and in the lives of others. It's not that we are inferior or beyond help, but when we face our issues, and align our thoughts and beliefs, we can find emotional freedom from the past, so we can find strength for today and hope for tomorrow. I help people of all faiths and backgrounds and I don't seek to push my beliefs on anyone; yet my Christian faith and spirituality does form my perspective and practice.

More Info About My Practice

Therapy can have a bad reputation for being a long drawn-out process where a lot is talked about but little is achieved. My approach is solutions-focused. I am dedicated to providing strategies for growth to ensure that we stay on track. My goal is to help you feel better as you grow closer to God and those you love.

Intake/Followup Session (50 Minutes): $150
Longer sessions are also available.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

When I was a child, my parents divorced and I was devastated. I was also bullied for years. I didn't realize how much these events would impact me until I was in college. I began to seek counseling and over the years, worked through my own issues of abandonment and rejection. I emerged a better person, others saw the change, and started coming to me for help. As a result, I decided to dedicate my life to helping others find emotional healing.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

The most successful people in life are those who have failed time after time but allowed their experiences to teach them. Seeking help does not mean you are helpless, but we often do things (or believe things) that can be unhealthy and even destructive. Learning how to change your beliefs and behavior takes time and practice. There is no quick cure, but there is definitely hope with time and the right tools and strategies.
