Life brings changes and challenges, some expected, some unexpected, any of which can cause stress, discomfort, or pain. Often these issues leave one feeling isolated and alone. As a therapist, it is my most sincere desire to develop a supportive, trusting, and caring relationship with my adult clients and to instill hope.

In therapy, my clients and I work together to examine their issues. Rather than being here to give answers, however, I will work to help each client to identify his/her issues, to establish goals, and to assist in finding solutions. I respect and honor each client as a unique individual and as the best expert of his/her own life and experiences.

The process of therapy involves commitment and hard work from both therapist and client. I am committed to the client and will work with compassion and creativity as we progress through issues. Through this integral approach, I will assist the client to draw on his/her own strengths and resources. Each client has the ability to make deep and lasting changes in life. The client will find it is eminently possible to overcome the issues he/she faces as he/she moves along life's journey toward a greater sense of self, integrity, resiliency, and resourcefulness.

While starting counseling is a major step, it is a sign of strength, not weakness. Today more people are entering into counseling, not only to treat illness, but to improve their quality of life.

More Info About My Practice

Each client and each client's issues are treated with respect, regardless of the size or nature of the problems. It is my sincere goal to instill hope in each client who walks into my office. To have hope is the first step in dealing with issues. To have hope is to believe in the ultimate resolution of one's issues.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Having experienced major transitions in my own life, I have learned how to overcome tremendous obstacles and to make the difficult journey back to wholeness. I will offer great sensitivity to each client and his/her issues.

My Therapy Focus

I bring a diversity of life experiences to my practice in working with adults. As such I successfully help my clients to address the wide variety issues presented. As we all live through many changes in our lives, it is not unusual to go through transitions which can be difficult to address. These transitional life issues, often increasing in midlife and beyond, begin with an ending, such as divorce, job loss, loss and grief, etc. Endings are often followed by uncertain periods of adjustment and the search for solutions. The final stage is the development of a resolution and moving on to a new beginning where life can resume.
