Everyone deserves greater self-understanding and the freedom to behave authentically. Accomplishing this requires a release of inhibitions that can undermine strength. Everyone is unique, which means there's no set formula for a happy life or therapy. I focus on each client's circumstances in the present moment, and aid in constructing personalized goals in a non-judgmental and observant setting. I strive to respond in a supportive, direct, and interactive manner, and always extend empathy to my clients. Such empathy, which is my greatest strength as a therapist, helps my clients regain their self-esteem and confidence, and offers a strong foundation of trust from which to begin our work.

I hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, and have trained in contemporary psychoanalysis. I'm currently working toward a second doctoral degree, and have trained interns and taught graduate-level students in Santa Barbara for over a decade.
