You are not alone in your struggle. We all do our best adjusting to life's challenges. My own journey in healing and growth has taught me more than any formal education I've received. This process created peace and gratitude in my life. I learned about the power of listening, empathy, and non judgment as well as that human connection and acceptance is one of the biggest gifts we can give to each other. Finally, by walking through the challanges, we learn humility, courage, and grace, which creates self acceptance and a deeper connection with those we love.
I have 12 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and parents providing specialized, evidence based care, and I would be honored to be part of your healing journey. Let's do it together!

More Info About My Practice
I have been trained to work with people who have experienced traumatic life events and life long trauma/abuse. Often trauma is not talked about among loved ones or shared with professionals. I've met many people who have worked so hard to manage their symptoms resulting from trauma by medication only and time after time felt frustrated with lack of progress in their recovery. Conjoint treatment that is trauma specialized helps people reach their goals and get their life back. Trauma experience as multi-systemic. It affects our sleep, mood, appetite, digestive and sensory systems as well as our ability to feel calm, safe, and connect with others. Life as we know it stops or changes after a traumatic event. This requires a team approach to bring about healing as no one thing will do. Together we can build a life you want to live.
I have also been trained by WisdomPath Way and Prepare-Enrich Program which are models that help individuals, couples and parents to have better relationships, understanding, and compassion. I am married and have five amazing boys. I understand the ups and downs of relationships and parenting. What I've learned through WisdomPath Way and Prepare-Enrich has made an extraordinary impact on my life and how I relate to my spouse and children. I would love to learn about you and the important relationships in your life. Sometimes a little information and a new perspective can be life changing.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Our upbringing and life events shape our world view as well as how we view ourselves. Our genetic wiring dictates our temperament. Psychotherapy promotes self awareness, understanding, and interpersonal growth that improves the relationships in our life, including the one we have with ourselves. Psychotherapy plays a vital role in helping with mood/emotion regulation, understanding our "triggers" or "buttons" that get pushed, learning how to make sense of our experiences and why we do what we do. Sometimes we can find ourselves repeating patterns that are self defeating and not know why. You don't have to figure it out alone. Allow me to be part of your growth process and together we can create a legacy you will be proud to, one day, leave behind.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Therapy is a very personal process. It is important to feel connected and comfortable with the clinician you choose to work with. I always encourage people to interview therapists on their knowledge and experience with issues that are important to them. However research shows that the most healing in therapy is the relationship between the clinician and client. I find that people normally have a sense after meeting with a clinician and this could help in their decision making. Some questions you can ask yourself to help you decide are: Is the therapist comfortable in their own skin when you met with him/her? Did he/she appear interested in getting to know you or focused on diagnostic labels? Did you experience the therapist as confident or uncertain? Did you have a sense of safety while in the presence of the therapist? Did the therapist provide feedback you were looking for that improved your understanding of the presenting issue? I hope this helps you to find someone you connect with. I wish you much healing in your recovery!
