I work with adolescents, children, young adults, couples, families, and individuals. My adult clients are smart and successful, but determined to improve the one or two areas of their lives that aren't working. I collaborate with my clients to help them build better personal lives and more satisfying relationships and careers. I work with adolescents, children, and young adults who come from eager families that want to help them be successful adults. I relish helping them learn new skills to help them navigate this life stage, even as we work together to prepare them for what's next.

More Info About My Practice

I work with people who already feel like they've tried everything, and who have now made the courageous decision to seek help. For example, I work with couples who are tired of blaming one another and who seek joy in their relationships, and parents who want to stop being irritable and develop new skills that make parenthood more enjoyable.

Trying really hard and not seeing progress can be deeply frustrating. I help my clients adopt new approaches so that they can see progress from their effort. Most clients tell me they wish they'd come in sooner!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have spent hours helping families learn how to help children struggling with anxiety, ADHD or school issues. Over the last ten years I have found that I deeply enjoy helping families navigate the process of diagnosis and development of goals that help them remember what they love most about each other.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

One of the biggest obstacles to starting therapy is the fear that it means, 'there is something wrong with me'. In my experience, many people are afraid that the blame for struggles will fall all upon them. My first rule of treatment is not to waste time placing blame, but to start from day one looking for solutions and helping people get unstuck. Clients in my office are highly successful people, who are motivated to improve in all areas of life and are not afraid to seek help when necessary. My clients are some of the strongest, bravest people I know.
