Are you feeling discouraged, stuck, caught in patterns that keep repeating?
I provide an effective approach to therapy that encourages your own natural drive toward health. We'll focus on developing a compassionate understanding of your life experiences. I'll provide guidance in your movement toward growth, and training in life- enhancing skills such as communication skills.
My practice is made up of working with individuals and couples.. Couples often find that communication skills training moves them past blaming and criticizing, into speaking in a way that they can hear each other. Many issues are greatly improved and can be resolved by good communication skills.
Understanding your own and each other's life experiences will also bring you into a more compassionate way of relating. This increased understanding helps you treat each other with kindness and respect while negotiating the changes you both need for happiness. Your areas of conflict can be a direct and helpful guide to where growth is needed.
When I work with individual clients we look at patterns that have naturally been set into motion by your life experiences. Some of these will fit who you deeply are, and some won't. I will encourage in you an attitude of compassionate self-understanding, and offer you tools to help you move into a new relationship with your authentic own ways of seeing life and of being.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
When I was 18 I went into therapy. My experience was remarkable, wonderful. Things about my family that I hadn't faced made sense. I saw that underneath our various ways of being neurotic there was a beautiful light of authentic reality and freedom. Keeping myself and helping other people move toward this is the most important work I can do.
