My Approach to Helping
It is important that the therapist and client/s agree on the problems that will be addressed in therapy and the ways that they will be resolved. It is equally key that the client experience the utmost respect and professionalism from the therapist, so that a therapeutic relationship can be developed that is based on trust. In such a climate, therapy goals can be met.

More Info About My Practice
I work with some Employee Assistance Programs and insurance plans. I work with some clients remotely, via encrypted online video chat or telephone, if a relationship has been established in the office first and if the issues can be appropriately addressed within this technology.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My practice primarily focuses on individuals, couples and families in crisis. I also specialize in grief, loss, traumatic stress and the management of life transitions and change. Crisis, loss and life changing events are often the issues that trigger our mood changes, problematic behavior patterns and self-esteem challenges.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy can help people gain a clearer understanding of the difficulties that they are experiencing, can provide support and guidance through some of life's most difficult junctures, and can help people make changes that result in increased life satisfaction.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

The therapist that you choose to work with must have a commmunication and personal style that is comfortable for you, must be skilled and experienced with the issues that you desire to address and must be focused on what is best for you, at every juncture of your therapy. All of these factors must be present for psychotherapy to be effective and successful.
