My Approach to Helping
Thank you for your interest in my practice. Choosing a therapist can be challenging, so let me tell you a little about myself. Over the years, I have been privileged to participate in the care of so many wonderful people who have shared their struggles with me. They have worked with me to find comfort and meaning in their lives. I work in a collaborative way and seek to use the unique strengths and resources that each person brings. I also have a healthy respect for common sense and the healing effects of laughter. I have trained extensively in proven methods of psychotherapy... emotionally focused therapy, EMDR, imagery, cognitive, and psychodynamic. I help people who have experienced couple conflict, trauma, sexual difficulties, infertility, anxiety and difficult bereavement. I am on the adjunct faculty at The Johns Hopkins Hospital Sexual Behaviors Consultation Clinic. I know it's tough to pick up the phone and finally call a therapist for an appointment. However, it can be even tougher to live with unhappiness. Please know that I love what I do and believe that I have the training and experience needed to help you.
