My Approach to Helping

My philosophy of practice is that people are competent, capable, and complete already. Therapy provides a therapeutic space and time to safely explore one's life; to build on what is workng and discover what needs to change in order for life to work better. I see my role as a facilitator. I help clients learn to use the special space therapy provides to uncover or discover the future they desire and the steps needed to reach that future.
I teach new information when needed, such as parenting skills, self calming skills, mindfulness, meditatiion, and relaxation skills.
