My Approach to Helping
Therapy offers the possibility of gaining another point of view. It expands your opportunities for improving communication and relationships. In gaining another point of view, the hope of change is tangible and possible. It is a way to jump start that desire to be ever moving, shifting and adapting. Change is what keeps us vital, so discover, investigate, explore, and begin.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Psychotherapy gives you the opportunity to have a second chance. You don't always get second chances. I love being able to assist a client to get on the way to where they want to be. Therapy is the place where unfolding begins. It takes awhile to unfold, to trust, to be vulnerable, and to be safe.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Getting into therapy, and really using it to your advantage, is about timing. You need to be prepared, facing yourself for about an hour a week can be uncomfortable and intense. Sometimes, it gets worse before it gets better. To weather the storms that might come up in therapy is a goal you can set for yourself. You will have your "storms." What is useful to know is that its "ok," whatever your storms are, I am a willing observer and participant in the unveiling of your ups and downs, and assure you that growth will happen.
