My Approach to Helping
I am passionate about helping couples improve their relationships, build their friendships and build their best lives together. I believe that any couple can make their relationship better as long as both parties are willing to work at it. I work with couples using Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. These methods have been researched for 40+ years to help make them more effective.
When I work with individuals I use a variety of methods, but all of them look at more than just the individual. People don't exist in a vacuum. Sometimes our problems stem from the world outside us, instead of the world inside our hearts and heads. I use what method of therapy works best for the individual. I also offer traditional therapy, EMDR and hypnotherapy to meet your needs.

I have worked with couples with a variety of problems. These include affair recovery and couples in which one or more of the partners are trauma survivors.
I work with individuals with a variety of issues, but have a special heart for those with anxiety disorders.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Going to therapy does not mean you are weak, flawed or broken. We all have challenges, yours may just be in a different area than mine. Needing therapy is just like needing to go to the doctor. If you get a sinus infection or break a bone, you need a doctor. If you have anxiety or relationship distress you need a therapist. It's that simple. Just as everyone needs a doctor from time to time, I believe that everyone can occasionally benefit from therapy to cope with stress and become our best selves.
