My Approach to Helping
If you have made your way to my profile, welcome! My name is Whitney, and I have a passion for being with people as they navigate the ups and downs of life. Some people have never been provided with a safe place to be themselves and truly be vulnerable, and I strive to create that space for my clients. I often bring aspects of my personality to the therapy room, encouraging clients to do the same! My promise to you is that I will seek to understand your struggles and your worldview. I believe I can help by offering a compassionate ear, coping skills, and a safe place to process emotions. It’s an honor to help you carry your pain.
My approach is body-based, person-centered, and paced at the comfort level of my clients. My clients and I will work together to understand their emotional experiences, gently uncover how past experiences have shaped how they relate to the world today, and improve their relationships with themselves and others, so they may live a life they deserve.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I love using approaches such as EMDR and IFS to address complex trauma and attachment wounds. I use exposure techniques to treat obsessive compulsive behaviors and help clients find freedom within themselves and their environments. I can help clients build self-compassion and self-worth and believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important component of treatment!
