Greetings! My name is Calvin Ponds, I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC), and licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) based in Georgia. I work with clients in Florida and Georgia statewide via Telehealth and in person. I work well with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I specialize in the treatment of first responders with work-related trauma, vicarious trauma, occupational distress, employee assistance program (EAP) compassion fatigue, burnout, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), depression, stress, and anger management. I use motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, cognitive processing therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, emotionally focused individuals, couples, and family therapy to help patients towards their healing journey.

My communication style is calm, comforting, reassuring, and personable. I encourage my clients to guide the therapy process by motivating them in a person-centered approach while listening and attending to the client. I encourage my client to create a therapeutic space for us to use and grow together.
