When it comes to therapy, the first step can be the most difficult. Talking to someone you don't know about matters that are personal or distressing takes strength and courage. My approach to therapy is to initially establish a safe, trusting, and confidential therapeutic relationship creating a strong foundation. I practice from a client-centered, strength-based, solution-focused model of therapy, meeting you where you are in life and working with your strengths and potential to achieve your goals. I work with individuals, couples, and families to strengthen relationships and/or manage and lessen distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Although the journey might not be easy, together we can face the challenge and help you to achieve the relief, comfort, and quality of life you deserve.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Throughout my time practicing as a therapist, I have come to find that the client-therapist alliance is the most important aspect of therapy. Without safety, trust, and healthy collaboration between client and therapist, most therapeutic orientations lose their effectiveness. Establishing and strengthening the client-therapist alliance not only enhances the therapeutic experience but also increases the level of success in a person's therapeutic outcome.
