My Approach to Helping
I work collaboratively with clients to establish mutually agreed upon therapeutic goals and provide a comfortable and compassionate space to explore, discuss, and be heard. My nonjudgmental therapy style combines Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness and is tailored to the specific needs of each individual as they walk towards self-discovery and well-being. When working with couples, I utilize The Gottman Method, which is evidence-based, collaborative and goal-oriented. With these approaches, I empower my clients to identify and achieve their goals by drawing on their unique individual strengths. Consequently, they are able to gain a deeper understanding of who they are and how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impact their functioning and relationships.
My focus is on increasing my client's self-awareness, helping people overcome painful thoughts and feelings and tapping into their natural abilities to navigate challenges. Through the process of therapy, individuals achieve what they want and develop effective solutions that fit with their values and how they want to lead their lives.
I believe we all have the capacity to change and I would be honored to support you on your journey. I look forward to meeting you!
