My Approach to Helping
I believe in quality culturally sensitive mental health treatment, from assessment to termination, for everyone. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults dealing with anxiety and depression related symptoms and behaviors. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness. I also utilize Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)Tapping. Tapping is a great compliment to the therapeutic process, much like adding whip cream and a cherry on top of your sundae. It is a self-soothing technique that resets the flow of energy in our body. It also helps to release underlying feelings that may be the source of our struggles due to talking about them in a socially appropriate manner. I am passionate about helping others improve their self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance, and inner peace to improve their day-to-day functioning and relationships with others.
