My Approach to Helping
Have you noticed feeling stuck, confused, and frustrated? Symptoms of trauma, depression, and anxiety are difficult to face, and naturally we want to avoid them. But avoidance keeps us stuck in unhelpful patterns that make it difficult to fully enjoy life.
Once you understand how and why your mind has created these patterns, you gain the ability to break free from them, and live a more intentional and joyful life. Imagine having the freedom to try new things, improve your self-esteem, and have more fulfilling relationships. This is not easy—change always requires courage!
I have specific training in trauma, including sexual assault and domestic abuse. I have years of experience working with children, adults, and families facing chronic and/or life-limiting illnesses. My clients describe me as calm, caring, direct, and honest. I am person-centered and collaborative in my approach and integrate from a variety of therapy styles.
