My Approach to Helping
Sometimes we know that we need to make a change but are uncertain of where to start. For the past twelve years I've worked to help people make the changes they most desire in their personal and professional lives. My experiences have included treating younger and older adults, adolescents struggling with big emotions, and families confronting difficult changes. Many of my clients are seeking help when they're overwhelmed by periods of sadness, worry or anxiety, or just want change unhelpful behavior patterns. Additionally, I work with those who have survived traumatic experiences. I also help clients address issues related to managing intense emotions, developing a reasonable work-life balance, generating better intimacy and healthy sexuality as well as making decisions in accordance with their most deeply held beliefs.
More Info About My Practice
During therapy sessions I offer my clients a safe, welcoming space to practice healthy habits, identify and implement solutions to problems, or discuss difficult or painful topics. When working with teens or families, I'm often conversational during therapy sessions and value any opportunity to "talk things through." Whether I'm offering 1-on-1 support with a client or meeting with a family, I've always believed in 'listening first' and helping people increase the skills they already have to adopt a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.

My Role as a Therapist
Whether it's providing a listening ear, giving feedback, or practicing specific skills, I hope to help you live your best possible life. I believe that therapy can be life changing and offers folks an opportunity learn more about themselves and others. Ultimately, my goal is to help people know themselves, recover from painful experiences, and reach toward their biggest hopes.
