My Approach to Helping
Finding a good therapist is like finding the perfect pair of jeans. Sometimes, you have to try a few before you find the right match. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to supporting clients and helping them transition through difficult times of worry or stress by building resilience and using healthier coping skills as a way for positive change.
I believe in a person-centered approach to celebrate self-love and self-discovery. My goal is to develop a meaningful and trusting relationship that meets clients where they are at in life to help them identify goals, enhance skills, and make plans to address areas in need of self-growth. I use an eclectic approach based on the individual needs of each client. The techniques I use the most are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
