My Approach to Helping
Hi there, I'm Megan! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and I believe in the unique lens that social work brings to psychotherapy. One that accounts for the relationships and circumstances in your life that are impacting you. I am a strengths-based therapist who values a holistic approach.
You will find therapy with me to be fluid and conversational. I tailor my strategy to my client's unique needs and prioritize creating a warm and supportive environment of safety and acceptance. Together, we will start with where you are right now, identify where you would like to be, and then build skills and solutions that promote positive change.
In our sessions, we will partner to build comfort, safety, and understanding. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and goals for treatment. We will engage in exploratory discussion to gain a holistic picture of your values, environmental circumstances, relationships, and symptoms. This will allow us to find solutions together that work for you!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
SELF-ESTEEM and IDENTITY:
Feeling down on yourself and wondering about your value can affect many aspects of your life, and contribute to an overall lack of enjoyment and happiness. Questioning your identity and who you are is another challenging aspect to this work. Learning more about yourself from a strengths based perspective can support you in discovering and embracing your best self. I love this work and the power of self discovery, empowerment, and insight!
ANXIETY:
Overwhelm from reoccurring worry and thought rumination is real and can also contribute to feeling helpless in your own mind. I too have navigated this heavy space and found a way out. I am deeply passionate about supporting others in doing the same. Let?s partner on this together! There IS hope for healing and you don?t need to do it alone.
DEPRESSION:
Sadness and hopelessness are painful emotions to carry, let alone on a regular basis. We now know more about this condition than ever before, including treatment strategies that work. Let?s get going on helping you to heal and recover from the strain and hardship that depression creates.
