My Approach to Helping
If you're looking for a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to process your concerns in a deep, thoughtful way, you've come to the right place. The work we complete is in the service of challenging yourself to learn and grow, and to also provide yourself with self-compassion and understanding. My aim is to provide depth of awareness coupled with pragmatic and tangible ways to make changes. Those looking for strong support while they take control and command over their own autonomy will see progress through our work together.
My background is in general clinical psychology. I received my PhD from Palo Alto University in 2016. During that time and thereafter I developed an approach that is classically client-centered and which aims to truly bolster a client's inner strength, resolve, and independence. My graduate studies of anxiety disorders, relationship challenges, and addiction, along with training in peak performance enhancement and mindfulness, has combined in such a way that my clients report feeling experiences of increased self-awareness with concurrent development in control, power, mastery, and command over their own lives.
I believe it is important to challenge our own thinking, expand our self-concepts, break away from defunct patterns, and rid ourselves of things in our lives that are no longer serving us. This approach I have found has been useful in creating more self-sufficient, self-compassionate individuals.
