My Approach to Helping
Depression, PTSD & anxiety, can be crippling. It can seem hopeless feeling trapped in the cycles of addiction, obsessions, & trauma. But there is hope & together we can find a solution that works best for you. It takes courage to ask for help, but you made it this far - you have already taken the first step!
As a trauma-informed therapist, I approach our work with a person-centered approach while validating & identifying challenges & strengths. Together, we'll incorporate mind, body, & spirit with traditional modalities, like CBT & narrative therapy. When we approach your wellness as a whole, we start to heal our entire person instead of simply managing symptoms.
It is important to feel safe & trusting in therapy, that's why using a person-centered focus ensures that all clients can feel understood & seen. I've dedicated my post-graduate work toward treating survivors of abuse, individuals struggling with addiction & LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing stress or trauma related to sexuality, identity & advocacy.
I offer a judgment-free space where you will be treated like a person and not a diagnosis or set of symptoms. Together we will harness your strengths & resilience & take the first steps on the path to healing.
