"...greet yourself arriving at your own door." This David Walcott quote captures the environment I hope to offer clients seeking support. It can be hard to remain centered in life, to find meaning and experience fulfillment. Whether you are seeking these things for the first time, or perhaps in a life transition where the "old you" doesn't seem to fit anymore, reaching out for support and perspective can be one of the first steps towards finding balance, inner peace and greater confidence. I am honored to serve people who desire more fulfilling and thoughtful lives, who want to come home to their true selves.
I enjoy working with individuals of all sexual orientations via the setting, or combination of settings, that are most supportive-phone/Skype, office, in nature and/or with the horses. I welcome a phone call conversation to explore if working together feels like a good fit.

More Info About My Practice

We will talk about subjects that are on your heart and mind in my office or via phone/Skype and I also offer experiential healing work if you are feeling stuck with verbal processes or wish to explore your areas of interest in a symbolic/metaphorical and more embodied way. Experiential healing work includes creative arts processes and/or unmounted exploration with horses, called Equine Guided Life Coaching & Counseling. (No experience is needed and there is no riding.)

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

We are all human beings doing our best to be in relationship with ourselves and others. It's easy to become isolated in our hearts and minds, struggling with the same issues repeatedly, or perhaps experiencing a significant life change that really threw us off balance. Reaching out for help affirms our humanity, allows connection and support and broadens our sometimes narrowed perspective about what might be possible for a more optimal life!

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

I'm here to serve as your biggest advocate! My goal is to help you discover and/or affirm your own inner guidance and deepest truth. Along these lines, I may also offer alternatives to a certain way you have been thinking or acting that may not be in your best interest. And while we may spend significant time focusing on you and your patterns specifically, I also believe in the importance of acknowledging and integrating a larger spiritual perspective on the journey. It isn't always all about you as there are often more significant lessons and opportunities available than our narrow-minded, fear-based human egos can perceive. I help you find context by considering the larger meaning as well.
