My Approach to Helping
My role as a psychologist is to provide you with the tools that will allow you to enhance coping and identify the root causes of your emotional discomfort and behavioral challenges. I work with individuals who are committed to overcoming self-doubt, improving communication, and reframing limiting beliefs.
Most of my patients have analytical minds and like to understand themselves deeply. Others are just beginning to explore therapy. I have a passion for working with clients who have a genuine desire to break with old patterns and want to gain confidence in themselves. My approach to couples counseling is active, pragmatic, and solution-focused, with the aim to build more loving relationships and move past unhealthy dynamics quickly.
Getting started with therapy can be daunting but the result of prolonged inaction, more often than not, is that our self-esteem suffers and we wonder whether change is even possible. I help my patients to build a strong sense of self to overcome fear-based decision-making, people-pleasing, and avoidance behaviors.
