My Approach to Helping
I specialize in a few types of clients - Couples hanging on by a thread, men who are less than thrilled at the idea of attending therapy, and individuals that live under a constant state of frustration in life. As someone who has lived and survived all of these scenarios personally, I've got a ton of empathy and a box of tools ready for people motivated to achieve change. Whether you are picking up the pieces from infidelity, exhausted from fighting about the same tired topics, or struggling to escape the things that beat you down, I am honored to pull up a chair and begin sorting through the mess in your first session.
More Info About My Practice
Prior to being a marriage therapist, I spent time working in the art world as a reproduction specialist as well as working one-on-one with art galleries around the world. My time in the non-clinical art world gave me a unique ability to resolve conflict & have better communication even across cultures and different faiths. I strive to remain always curious. I opened my private practice after working with Cornerstones of Care in October, 2021 and have current availability as my practice approaches full capacity. I try to reply to new client inquiries within 4 hours and see them if possible within 48 hours by telehealth or in-person.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I understand what it is to sit on the proverbial couch and discuss my own marriage as well as work through co-parenting issues. The levels of frustration while deal with children and loved ones that deals with bi-polar, depression, and anxiety. I am over the hill my some measures but my struggles and wisdom guide my thoughts in therapy. It has also created a sense of openness that inspires me to be there for my clients even outside of the hour long session.
