My Approach to Helping
Hello and Welcome. Healing takes courage. It may not feel like it, but we all have courage. Sometimes we have to dig a little to find it. As an associate marriage and family therapist, I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and grow. My passion is helping those individuals who have suffered trauma or complex trauma. There are many symptoms that fall under the trauma umbrella such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm, eating disorders, and many more. Sometimes the shame and guilt that is associated with the trauma or abuse keeps an individual from seeking the help they need and deserve.
When someone has suffered from PTSD, or complex, attachment or developmental trauma there are moments of feeling overwhelmed with sensations of shame and pain. There is a feeling of "being our own fault" or a fear that we were "deserving" of having been treated poorly. My goal is to help you find hope, healing and restoration to transform your life.
I believe that seeking therapy is a courageous step towards self-improvement and growth, and I feel honored to be a part of my clients' journey towards healing and well-being. Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to meeting you and working together towards a happier, healthier you.
