My Approach to Helping

How do you learn to accept and love yourself, letting go of shame and self-doubt, so you can become fully and authentically you? How do you overcome trauma and regulate your emotions? How do you love others and set healthy boundaries? These are questions I can help you answer. My approach is warm and affirming; l enter each session with openness, curiosity, and a trauma informed lens. While I provide clinical expertise, I honor that you are the expert on yourself, your values, and your culture. I strive to meet you where you are, working together to make decisions about your treatment.

More Info About My Practice

I am an active participant in sessions, viewing collaboration and consistency as key to the building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I work with all bodies, races, genders, sexualities, and religions. I individualize treatment uniquely to you by integrating an eclectic approach of evidence-based therapy models such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT). I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, and incorporate skills like somatic awareness, psychodynamic and feminist theories.

You can’t change what’s happened to you, but your trauma experiences do not define the sum of who you are. With meaningful connection and honest feedback; you can move forward. You get to decide how your story continues. You can choose healing; and I would be honored to support you on that journey.

My Role as a Therapist

As a therapist who goes to therapy herself, I understand how hard and scary therapy can be - but also how rewarding it is to heal and grow. You deserve to show up for yourself in this way too! You can expect a warm, judgment free space when meeting with me. I would love to help you prioritize your emotional needs, ground and re-center yourself, deconstruct unhelpful beliefs from trauma, and establish healthier boundaries in your relationships, work, and personal life. I would be honored to help you explore how to lean into an authentic, self-compassionate, and balanced life. I would be honored to hold space with you as you embark on this healing journey for yourself.
