My Approach to Helping

Life is full of joyous moments where the strength to define ourselves and develop skills to live more fully are easily found. But when life becomes whittled with challenges, stress, and struggles, the test then becomes learning to navigate our feelings, recognize our thoughts, and make changes in our behavior to live more wholly. Most of the time, we can handle life’s stresses, but sometimes things can get too overwhelming and stressful, and we need help.
Licensed in California, I provide clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed therapists and provide direct counseling services to individuals, couples, children, and adolescents. I work with clients who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, relationship problems, and life transitions (marriage, breakupdivorce, becoming a parent, moving, becoming independent, grief and loss, etc.).
My counseling style is warm and collaborative and utilizes evidence-based practices. I am certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space, where together we address treatment goals, build on strengths, and support opportunities for change. Each client is unique, and treatment is tailored to fit the specific needs of each individual.
