My Approach to Helping

That decision suggests that you are motivated and ready to take the action necessary to move forward and address the issues that are holding you back. My counseling style is collaborative and personalized. This non-judgmental and safe relationship is the foundation which allows for honesty, transparency, and, change. Our journey together will not always be clear and easy; such is life, but nothing stays the same, we can always make life better.
I treat individuals of many demographics with a variety of addictive, inter-relationship and mental health issues, and as a result, each therapy is tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Some client's benefit from cognitive therapies that help them identify and then correct distorted thinking while others prosper by addressing those deeply ingrained negative beliefs caused by childhood trauma. Also, I am trained in EMDR which can be very effective in mitigating trauma symptoms.
