My Approach to Helping
I have 7 years professional experience working with individuals facing a range of issues, including substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal and family relationships, grief and loss and others. My method is straightforward- assist my clients with identifying the root cause of their suffering and help them access their inner strengths to create healthy solutions.
I believe that people are experts in their own lives, and my goal is to facilitate the healing process by holding space and allowing clients to navigate their own journey to wellness. This may be achieved through positive self-talk, improving self-esteem, developing effective communication strategies, learning how to establish healthy boundaries within relationships, remaining focused on the solution rather than the problem and understanding self-care. I want my clients to leave their time with me confident that they have the tools to handle life on life’s terms.
I combine my life experience with professional training. I am not ashamed to say that I have gone through my own transformational process. It takes strength and courage to reach out for assistance, and I embrace an attitude of non-judgment having been in a similar position to many of my clients.
