My Approach to Helping
Let's work together so you can have peace of mind and contentment. We'll quiet the anxiety and seemingly endless worry, in order to empower you to pursue the things you want in life - those hobbies and dreams that remain unrealized. We'll build up your confidence so you can truly, genuinely like yourself and enjoy life more. Let's help you increase understanding between you and your loved ones, so you no longer have to feel unseen and unheard.
I have extensive experience and thorough training in helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, and trauma. I prioritize understanding who you are, where you come from, and what you want to accomplish. I seek to give you the tools to build genuine connections with others, and to empower you to navigate your decisions for your relationships with kindness.
Your circumstances have affected you, but they do not have to dictate your future. I work with clients from all backgrounds, and it would be my honor to walk beside you as you begin a journey towards feeling better.
More Info About My Practice
Hello, I'm thrilled you stopped by to learn more about me and my therapy practice, Pathfinder Therapy.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Duke University, where I discovered my passion for psychology and helping others. I completed my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern California (USC), where I honed my skills and knowledge of various therapeutic techniques. I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at USC, as well as a clinical internship at UC San Diego, and a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Irvine.
My passion for helping people extends beyond my therapy practice. I am actively involved in several nonprofit organizations that support mental health and eating disorder awareness. I believe in using my platform as a therapist to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Throughout my education and training, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life. I have had a lot of experience working with military service members and their families. I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that therapy can have on people's lives, and am honored to be a part of that process.
My Role as a Therapist
As a therapist, I take a collaborative and integrative approach to therapy. I believe that each client is unique and requires an individualized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies to create a tailored treatment plan for each client.
