My Therapy Focus
In THERAPY, I focus on all aspects of the Individual and Family's life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems as approaches to Treatment, including other THERSPY techniques and guidelines tailored to the INDIVIDUAL, COUPLE, and FAMILY.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
The length of time you spend in THERAPY, and the frequency of your visits depend on your situation. Are you in Crisis? Then, perhaps initially, you might want to meet with a Therspist twice a week, or at least weekly, until you feel the Crisis is subsiding. If you have a history of Trauma, and you are wanting to address the trauma in THERAPY, you might want to take things step by step, addressing smaller amounts of memories and information, which might take a little longer in THERAPY to work through. My overall philosophy for THERAPY is that most therapeutic strategies can be completed relatively Short-Term, focusing more on what is not working for you right now in your life, and how I can HELP you meet your TREATMENT GOALS to COPE better with Emotions, and Communicate more effectively in your current RELATIONSHIPS. Then, if you need to return for Treatment in the future to further address new issues, you can return to THERAPY to work through the current challenges.
