My Approach to Helping
You know yourself better than any therapist can. This is true whether you seek therapy as a couple or as an individual. Yet sometimes, you may do things out of habit, without thinking about how it may affect the people you love. As your therapist, I'll help you to recognize that you have choices you may not have considered. I'll also help you to re-discover and develop the resources you already possess. These areas of awareness will enable you to make clearer decisions in your life.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Couples and family therapy. A lot of the complex issues you face in your relationships can be simplified into one word: communication. Nothing is worse than feeling as though you're not being heard, like what you say isn't valid or important. Maybe you get into unproductive shouting matches that leave you nowhere. You may have differing styles of communication. That doesn't mean you have to toss your hands up in the air and give up. We can all learn to speak more honestly and respectfully and learn to achieve common ground. I love helping people to make better, more satisfying connections.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Many situations may lead you to seek individual therapy. Whether you're stuck in a going-nowhere relationship, or you haven't figured out that inspired career move, or you're trying to piece together what your life is meant to be, a good therapeutic environment can help you to ask the right questions to understand yourself better. We each possess our own unique areas of strength. But we forget how resilient we can be. As a therapist I want to help you rediscover this strength. You deserve a chance to find meaning and fulfillment in this life. I'd like to help you on your way.
