My Approach to Helping
At this moment in time, some level of anxiety is probably a common thread among all of us. Anxiety about the coronavirus is not abnormal. Anxiety is a survival mechanism. Yet we may respond to our anxiety in ways which are not helpful. This is where I may be able to help. I've worked successfully with others, and with myself, in coping with issues associated with relationships, addiction, and anxiety. I'd love to help you to develop skills and confidence which can lead to positive solutions for you.
More Info About My Practice
After 10 years in Pasadena, I've recently opened an office in Woodland Hills. Now, I've turned to providing virtual therapy sessions in response to the present world health situation. It's very simple for us to "meet" via your phone, tablet, or computer, and you don't have to download any software. I offer a rate structure which is fair and competitive, and I have some spaces on a sliding-scale basis. Call or e-mail me for more information.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
This is a unique time in our world history, in which every one of us has a personal stake. For many, the anxiety about the coronavirus is just added on top of life issues which were already pressing: relationship challenges, gripping addictions, obsessive and distressing thoughts. For others, the recent health concerns created a space of uncontrolled anxious focus which is destabilizing. Many are exploring the meaning of life itself. A good first step in processing all this is a step back. To gain perspective. Sometimes we can't see the trees for the forest. What single, small step can I take TODAY to feel better in this world?
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Many situations may lead you to seek individual therapy. Whether you're stuck in a going-nowhere relationship, or you haven't figured out that inspired career move, or you're trying to piece together what your life is meant to be, a good therapeutic environment can help you to ask the right questions to understand yourself better. We each possess our own unique areas of strength. But we forget how resilient we can be. As a therapist I want to help you rediscover this strength. You deserve a chance to find meaning and fulfillment in this life. I'd like to help you on your way.
