My Approach to Helping

You don’t have to be “fine” here.

If you’re exhausted from holding it all together — from carrying the grief, the confusion, the pressure to stay strong — then you’ve found the right place.

I’m Helen, a qualified and experienced Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and Coach. I work with people who often feel like outliers: deep-feeling, thoughtful, and trying to make sense of life in a world that often asks them to shrink.

Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, burnout, anxiety, trauma, or simply a sense of lostness, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Therapy with me is a place where you can bring your whole self — messy, uncertain, quiet, angry, hopeful — and still be met with compassion, curiosity, and care. Together we explore your story and the patterns that might be holding you back, so you can move toward more clarity, strength, and emotional freedom.

You don’t need to have a clear ‘goal’ to start. Some people come to process old wounds, others come to make sense of their current overwhelm.

Some just need a space to be real for once.

We’ll take it at your pace, and I’ll be beside you as we work through whatever’s weighing on you.

Alongside talking therapy, I also use therapeutic coaching techniques when helpful — supporting you not only in reflection, but also in making intentional changes where you’re ready.

If you’d like to know more about how I work — or explore some honest written reflections on life, healing, and everything in between — you’re very welcome to visit my website and blog, or get in touch to ask any questions you may have.

Warmly,
Helen

More Info About My Practice

My therapy practice is nestled in a peaceful countryside cottage, offering a calm and welcoming space designed to help you feel safe and supported.

The quiet, natural surroundings create the perfect backdrop for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

Sessions take place in a relaxed and confidential environment, often with the gentle company of my two friendly cats and a warm-hearted dog — their quiet presence has a comforting way of making therapy feel a little more like home.

I offer both in-person sessions for those nearby (please note that spaces are limited), and virtualphone therapy options for convenience and accessibility, so you can choose what feels best for you.
