My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, looking at the unique needs of each person. As a therapist and a person living in this world, I believe that there is always a chance at a silver lining to every challenge that we face. I feel that everyone is worthy of a happy and healthy life. I am here if you are unsure of what you may be going through, and know that not every person fits in a box; sometimes we may just need a little guidance. I am always looking to expand my skills as a therapist and will do the work to find the best interventions for you.
I have specialized training in treating perinatal mental health. I have years of experience working with pregnant and postpartum women and have a special passion for it. I specialize in postpartum anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsion (OCD), and psychosis. Being a parent is incredibly rewarding, but it can come with its challenges. I am here as a warm presence to help navigate this time period.
I also have years of experience in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), autism, substance use, and recovery, as well! I know that we all don't fit into one box, which is why I am here to navigate all that life may bring. My therapeutic interventions include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and attachment work.
I am here as a guide and resource to help you find a sense of clarity in your life. My style as a therapist comes from a place of empathy and understanding. I really want to take the time to get to know you, as this is what helps me to find the best possible tools to help. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
