My Approach to Helping
Sometimes life and events can leave us overwhelmed, stressed and stuck. I believe we are all trying hard to understand and figure out what is or isn't working in our lives and to make sense of things. I am here to support, listen, suggest and sometimes challenge you to have the life you want to live. You are the expert on what is or isn't happening in your life, and so my work with people is collaborative. You set the pace and the direction of your therapy. I offer my experience and training to support you. We will learn more about you and your relationships, your patterns, and beliefs, why some are helpful and some are not. I will not judge you and am truly interested in seeing you succeed in therapy with me.
In my work with a couple, my approach is similar with the focus on enhancing the ways partners can be and are there for each other and identifying and reducing the ways couples get off track and caught in negative cycles.
