My Approach to Helping
It can be stressful or nerve-racking to reach out to a new therapist (a stranger!) with the private and difficult aspects of your life. You can be assured I will honor you with trust, understanding, and compassion. I work with adults around various topics like workcareer, grief, self-esteem, anxiety, stress, trauma, family issues, feeling stuck, sadness, worry, interpersonal challenges, and more. The foundation of my approach, which is founded on evidence-based practices, is the collaborative development of an effective and personalized treatment plan. We will regularly discuss goals and objectives and track progress.
I incorporate aspects of narrative therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices to help you learn from your past struggles and move forward in the here and now. With my specialty training in trauma, anxiety, and depression treatment, I am prepared to assist you in handling stressors and symptoms in a responsible and safe manner.
