My Approach to Helping

Life brings seasons of change, some expected, others deeply disorienting. Whether you’re facing a midlife transition, navigating the stress of caregiving, redefining your role as a parent to adult children, or feeling disconnected in your relationships, you don’t have to go through it alone. Many of my clients come to therapy during times of uncertainty, being overwhelmed, or experiencing growth, seeking clarity, deeper connection, and a renewed sense of self.

I offer a warm, collaborative, and personalized approach to therapy that meets you where you are. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way and help you reconnect with your strengths, purpose, and emotional well-being.

My work is integrative and grounded in evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, brainspotting, accelerated resolution therapy (ART), parts psychology, somatic experiencing, acceptance, AEDB, and commitment therapy (ACT). These methods support healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and feeling emotionally stuck while also helping you navigate relationship challenges, loss, identity shifts, and the longing for something more.

Whether you’re seeking to strengthen your marriage, parent with more confidence, find meaning in the next chapter of your life, or simply feel more like yourself again, therapy can help. In our work together, we’ll create space for insight, healing, and lasting transformation.

More Info About My Practice

My interests include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, PTSD, medical family therapy, ambiguous loss and grief, mental illness, cross-cultural counseling, interracial marriage communication between couples, emotional and sexual intimacy, Alzheimer's disease and dementia,
My subspecialty is medical family therapy (MFT), which applies systems theory to the bio-psycho-social-spiritual systems approach. This style often works well with clients who experience disability, trauma, illness, and physical health problems.

EMDR is a powerful and effective treatment for trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment treatment-brain-based method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional body pain, trauma, dissociation, and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting provides a neurobiological tool for accessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of somatic and emotionally-based conditions.
