My Approach to Helping
You’re really hard on yourself and are paralyzed with fear of making a wrong step. You’re afraid to make decisions or take risks until you’ve found the “perfect” answer or solution. The indecision and fear of failure stop you from taking action because you get stuck in a haze of self-doubt, worse-case scenarios, and uncertainty. I help perfectionists feel less anxious, have more clarity, courage, and take action.
Over the years, I've learned that I work best with individuals struggling with anxiety due to a lack of confidence in their abilities, unrealistic expectations for themselves, fear of failing, and at some point, just straight-up fear of the physical symptoms of anxiety. As a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, I‘m trained on the Daring Way™, a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The primary focus is on developing shame resiliency skills and daily practices that transform how we live, love, parent, and lead. I also incorporate interventions from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to teach you how to adapt to whatever life throws at you, move forward in the direction of your values, and change your relationship with your thoughts, feelings, and physical symptoms of anxiety. This means your anxiety and your inner critic will no longer control your life, but you will.
