My Approach to Helping
You are worthy of a peaceful, fulfilling, meaningful life. So many of us struggle with emotional pain, insecurities, or symptoms of mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. You may find that the ways you have learned to handle these struggles are not moving your life in the direction you want. People pleasing, perfectionism, overworking, and self-sabotaging are among many ways people cope. If you want to make a change, but don’t know how, therapy can help. You deserve to be seen and understood, and you don’t have to do this alone.
The therapy relationship is collaborative, warm, and nonjudgmental. The two types of therapy I primarily use are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, step-parenting challenges, life adjustments and transitions, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
