What's My Approach to Therapy?
Some days it feels like you’re just moving through the motions—disconnected, restless, or caught in patterns you don’t want to keep repeating. Maybe you find yourself spiraling in anxiety, second-guessing every decision, or numbing out just to get by. Even when life looks “fine,” it can feel heavy, unfulfilling, or like you’re stuck in cycles you can’t break on your own.
In our work together, you don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. I’ll meet you exactly where you are. Therapy with me is collaborative and compassionate—we’ll slow things down, get curious about what’s really happening underneath, and notice not only the stories you carry but also how your body holds them. I blend conversation with body-based practices so you can begin to understand your patterns in a new way and try out different responses that feel more authentic and grounded.
My hope is that therapy gives you space to reconnect with yourself—the parts of you that feel buried under self-doubt, stress, or old habits—and begin to live in a way that feels steadier and more true. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but with support, it is possible to step out of autopilot, soften the inner critic, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you really are.
In our sessions, nothing is off-limits. You can bring your doubts, grief, hopes, and questions without fear of judgment. My role is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to make the changes that feel right for you, at your pace. If you’re ready to explore what’s possible beyond just “getting by,” I’d be honored to walk that path with you.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Anxiety, overwhelm, and finding life direction. I work with clients who feel caught in cycles of racing thoughts, tension, and uncertainty about their purpose. Whether it's a constant undercurrent of worry or a nagging sense that something's missing, I help you calm your mind, reconnect with yourself, and discover the values and goals that bring meaning and fulfillment to your life.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy isn't just about talking, it's about having a safe place to slow down, breathe, and make sense of what's been weighing on you. In our time together, we'll figure out what's underneath the anxiety, overwhelm, or disconnection you've been feeling, and find ways to shift the patterns that keep you stuck.
You'll learn tools to calm your mind and body, see situations more clearly, and make choices that actually feel right for you. We'll also spend time uncovering what gives your life a sense of purpose, connection, and joy- so it's not just about getting through the week- but about building a life that feels like yours again.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
It's normal to wonder if therapy is worth it or if things are bad enough to reach out. You don't have to have everything figured out, or be at a breaking point to benefit. Sometimes we need help uncovering what we can't see on our own -patterns, beliefs, or blind spots that keep us feeling stuck. Therapy gives you a place to explore those hidden layers, feel less alone, and learn new ways to handle life's challenges. Often, the very act of showing up is the first step toward the change you've been wanting.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
It can be discouraging to put yourself out there in therapy only to feel like it didn't help, or worse, that you weren't really seen. The truth is, the therapist-client relationship matters just as much as the techniques being used. You deserve to feel safe, supported, and comfortable enough to truly be yourself.
Some therapists take a passive role, simply listening without offering much back. Others might make the conversation about themselves, leaving you wondering what you're getting out of it. I believe good therapy is different. It's active, engaged, and built on collaboration. I'll listen deeply, but I'll also ask the hard questions that help you see things from a new angle, connect the dots, and raise your self-awareness.
This isn't about chit-chat. It's about working together to uncover what's holding you back and finding real, meaningful change.
