My Approach to Helping
In the span of my career, I've been able to work in multiple treatment environments -- using a variety of traditional and nontraditional modalities. From Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Trauma-Sensitive mindfulness practices, to the creative arts, and attachment-based systems work, I love to make my methods as individualizedspecial as those who seek my services. When not at work, I volunteer for a local mental health nonprofit that is impassioned with sustaining programming for maternal mental health.
My Values and Approach
Therapy should involve collaboration and consent; meaning the client has a right to both be a recipient as well as a influencer within the therapeutic relationship. My job as a therapist is to act as guide while you are empowered to tackle both inner and outer barriers.
I also believe that mental health services belong to all people, no matter their socioeconomic background or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can benefit from being truly seen and heard.
