My Approach to Helping
I love working with people who are interested in personal growth and feeling better. How this happens is the alchemy or magic of psychotherapy that has developed over the past 25 years of experience and practice. Counseling with me involves addressing concerns, connecting to one's body, and clearing out the residue of any trauma you may be carrying. Together we address what isn't working in your life or is causing distress so that you may experience more freedom, satisfaction, resilience, and ease in all aspects of your life. I offer mindfulness tools, a trauma-informed approach, and EMDR therapy for getting present and staying connected to your body and self. Together we work to increase insight, self-awareness, resiliency, and compassion and it is a joy to witness my clients feeling more whole and engaged in their lives as we work together.
More Info About My Practice
While my office is in Boulder, Colorado I also offer Telehealth sessions. Regardless of which form we utilize in our therapy, my goal is to help you develop tools you can put into practice in order to manage your life more effectively and to support you to feel better. I specialize in helping people work through anxiety, depression, symptoms of PTSD, relationship conflicts or concerns, life transitions, and many other concerns. My approach is eclectic and the opposite of one size fits all in regards to treatment. Connecting with your clinician is important for your success and participation in therapy. My goal is to foster an atmosphere of warmth, clarity, and curiosity. What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love the process of therapy and find deep fulfillment in witnessing, supporting, and guiding others towards health. I love seeing clients implement change and treat themselves with more kindness and compassion. I love being creative, thinking outside the box, and witnessing the bravery my clients bring when they are willing to do "experiments" or set boundaries or identify their most important needs. I love witnessing change as it happens.
I look forward speaking with you soon.
