What's My Approach to Therapy?

My name is Mary Ann Ursich. I am a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have more than 15 years of experience developing, managing, and facilitating addiction treatment services, mediation, and counseling services. I also have specialized training certificates in Family Mediation, Dispute Resolution, Restorative Justice Facilitation, Sand and Art Play Therapy, and Prepare/Enrich Facilitation. Communicating effectively with others is a crucial skill—it’s how we build and maintain relationships, solve problems, and accomplish tasks. However, knowing how to communicate in therapy are skills that don’t generally come naturally—instead, they’re built up over time through intentional practice and respectful interactions with you as the client,
