My Approach to Helping
After trauma, life can feel like it is spiraling out of control and it feels overwhelming to deal with. It becomes difficult and hard to cope with uneasy thoughts & emotions. I believe each and every person would benefit from therapy. It is important to be able to understand our own emotions and to be able to openly communicate those with others in our lives. When we are unable to understand those emotions, it can become difficult to function in our daily lives. With therapy, you can learn how to regulate these areas in a healthier way through a compassionate approach to healing.
My therapy focuses on treating teens and adults through Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & EMDR treatment specialties. I focus on trauma work to help you unlearn unhealthy habits and relearn healthier, adaptive habits to gain a sense of control in your life. I teach you how to be your most authentic self.
Many thoughts & emotions can become confusing. You may feel as though your world has been turned upside down. It becomes difficult to make sense of situations. I can help you make those connections again. Together, we can go through this journey to heal and recover in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
