My Approach to Helping
I am passionate about helping families strengthen their emotional bonds and communication skills. I use a person-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that each client is unique and requires personalized care. By providing a safe and non-judgmental space, I establish a trusting therapeutic relationship that allows my clients to feel heard, understood, and validated.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community with lived experience, I am committed to providing compassionate and affirming care to this population. I understand the challenges and experiences that LGBTQ+ individuals face, and I am dedicated to helping them navigate these issues with empathy and support.
In my therapy sessions, I use various treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Structural Family Therapy to help my clients improve their mental and physical well-being. I integrate techniques such as mindfulness and solution-focused therapy in my approach to help clients achieve their goals.
Taking a holistic approach to mental health is essential to me. I consider biological, psychological, and social factors and their complex interactions in understanding overall mental and physical health. I believe in promoting positive self-worth, reducing daily experiences of anxiety and worry, and increasing one's enjoyment of life.
