Everyday demands make creating balance in our lives a daunting task. I believe that a holistic approach to healing is one that can be most effective in bringing out inner strength and helping to create positive change. My philosophy is to provide a plan that is unique, individualized, and that includes a collaborative learning experience. I often recommend the use of alternative therapies (i.e., Yoga, Acupuncture, Massage, Aromatherapy, Tai Chi, etc.) to help support the inner connection to mind, body, spirit and ultimately the self as a whole. I'd be honored to accompany you on this therapeutic journey.
I'm a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the International Association of Trauma Professionals and am trained using EMDR/ Brainspotting techniques to help those that have experienced trauma. I'm also a Certified Addiction Professional as well as having many years of experience working with teenagers and young adults.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy is wonderful for so many reasons:
It offers someone a safe place to be heard.
It allows someone the time to slow down long enough to take notice of the changes that are happening in our lives.
It helps us to understand the positive and move forward.
Human beings are complicated and as we have evolved our lives have become increasingly difficult and cluttered. Therapy can be a guided reflection, processing emotions, acceptance, and can truly help us to untangle our thoughts and in turn, often improve our lives.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I've had the great fortune to have been a teacher for many years and have been able to help many kids achieve their personal and academic goals. I feel that psychotherapy is an extension of my previous work and that the intrinsic reward you receive from helping someone to have the happier life is priceless. The Dalai Lama said it best "We are visitors on this planet. We are here for one hundred years at the very most. During that period we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives. if you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true meaning of life."
